SUSTAINABILITY

We are dedicated to minimising our environmental impact by embracing eco-friendly practices throughout our business. 

- Where possible, we source local produce to reduce our carbon footprint.

- Our labels are not fully waterproof but are biodegradable; wood-free, compostable, and recyclable. Made from Cane Fibre (Bagasse) and without silicone. These environmentally-friendly labels are made from 95% sugarcane fibres and 5% hemp & linen.

- We use food safe brown bags and cellophane bags, which may look like plastic, but are actually plant based and 100% biodegradable!

- We reuse packaging that we receive for our postal orders. We also use kraft paper and other recycled filler materials to protect your products during delivery and use kraft brown tape which is 100% recyclable.

- To reuse your glass jar, simply soak it in warm soapy water and scrub or peel off the label. Your glass containers can be reused for life.

- Many products can be refilled in store for a discounted rate.

- Help us reduce waste even further; we'll buy back any of our glass jars for 50p each for recycling and no washing required! Simply bring them back to us and we'll take care of the rest.

- For online orders - collect 4 or more glass bottles and we can organise collection and you will receive a voucher code for 20% off.

We purchase and work with small, family and local businesses and practitioners to offer a range of items and services. Our items have been carefully selected and sourced. We stock a large range of crystals from ethical sources, some new and some vintage pieces.

We strive to contribute positively to the planet and encourage responsible choices. Our goal is to lead by example in creating a healthier, more sustainable world for future generations. We are continually exploring innovative ways to minimise our environmental impact.

EARTH TO ROOTS makes monthly donations to PETA, Viva! and Animal Aid. 

Like humans, all animals are capable of suffering, feel love as well as fear and have interests in leading their own lives; therefore, they are not ours to use – for experimentation, food, clothing, entertainment or any other reason.
