INGREDIENTS: cosmetic grade oxidized zinc from naturally occurring minerals

Non-nano zinc powder is made up of larger, mineral-grade particles that do not penetrate the skin and therefore bloodstream. It acts as a broad-spectrum physical sunblock and offers anti-inflammatory and antibacterial properties, making it highly effective for soothing eczema, acne, and nappy rash without harsh irritants.

When used in sun protection products, zinc oxide powder sits on the top of the skin to create a literal barrier and reflects the sun's harmful UVA and UVB rays. Unlike chemical UV filters (such as oxybenzone), non-nano zinc oxide is biodegradable and considered safe for marine and coral ecosystems.

Zinc forms a protective barrier over the skin that keep the moisture locked in place, which helps oily substances seep into the skin. Zinc oxide powder is also sometimes used in makeup to increase the opacity in products like foundations and powder-based makeup. It is also said to be an anti-irritant, which is why it is found in many skin products for infants and for sensitive skin. 

RECOMMENDED USE: Can be with oils such as Avocado, Olive, Coconut, Argan oil or butters such as Shea or Mango (2 tsp per 150ml).
